What is it?
At HD Aesthetic Wellness, we offer two chemical peels:
ZO’s 3 Step Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that accelerates skin turnover to remove the top layer of skin to reveal new and healthy skin. It helps with discoloration and texture of the skin. This peel requires about 5 days of recovery time. After the peel, one can experience redness, flaking, peeling, and burning/stinging. It is important to have prepared the skin with retinol for 6-8 weeks prior to the peel for the best and safest results.
ZO's Stimulator Peel is a more gentle peel that does not require downtime. It helps to exfoliate the skin addressing minor lines/wrinkles, textural abnormalities, and discoloration. After the peel, one may experience redness, tightness, and sometimes mild peeling/flaking.

How many treatments are needed?

Of course, this is different for each patient and depends on goals. The peel can be done every 30 days. For more profound discoloration, a series of 3 treatments every 30 days is recommended.
