What is Sculptra?
Starting at the age of 20, a person loses 1% of their collagen every year. Collagen loss results in volume loss, skin laxity, lines, wrinkles, and overall appearance of aging.
Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid or PLLA) is an FDA-approved injectable that stimulates the production of collagen. Results build over the next few months and can last up to 2 years. 2-3 initial treatments, separated by 4 weeks each, are required to get desired results. 1-3 vials are required per treatment and may differ per patient needs. Yearly touch-ups are recommended to maintain results. Sculptra can be used in conjunction with Neurotoxins, Dermal Fillers, and other aesthetic treatments.
