What is a Chemical Peel?
At HD Aesthetic Wellness, we offer two Chemical Peels:

ZO’s 3 Step Peel is a medical-grade Chemical Peel that accelerates skin turnover to remove the top layer of skin to reveal new and healthy skin. It helps improve discoloration and skin texture.This peel requires about 5 days of recovery time. After the peel, patients can experience redness, flaking, peeling, and burning/stinging. It is important to have prepared the skin with retinol for 6-8 weeks prior to the peel for the best and safest results.

ZO's Stimulator Peel is a more gentle peel that does not require downtime. It helps to exfoliate the skin addressing minor lines/wrinkles, textural abnormalities, and discoloration. After the peel, one may experience redness, tightness, and sometimes mild peeling/flaking.

How many treatments are needed?

This is different for each patient and depends on goals. The peel can be done every 30 days. For more profound discoloration, a series of 3 treatments every 30 days is recommended.
